Grand Final (22 Aug)
RESULT: Win 2-1
SCORERS: Daniel Wilkins 1, Samuel Benson 1
What a wonderful end to a really great season! The team played a fantastic game to beat the premiers of our division, Putney Rangers. The team really played well together and were wonderfully supported by the skills of 3 U8 replacement players; Luc Belcastro, William Dearden and Joe Patmore, many thanks to them and their contribution to our win today. Once more, credit is due to our wonderful goal-keeper, Ben Stroud, who helped us fend off Putney’s many valiant efforts to score. The game was quite physical and kept everyone on their toes, with great efforts by Jeremy Bingham, Benjamin Mendoza, Preston Steward and Christopher Stroud chasing down the ball. Our defenders Alexandra Behn and Abigail Zeckendorf faced tough competition and were great. The first goal was scored by Daniel Wilkins and gave the whole team a great boost to morale. The winning goal was deservedly scored by Samuel Benson after a rather rough tackle and sailed into the top of the goals, giving Pacific Hills Dural a well-deserved win against a fierce opponent..

Round Robin 2 (15 Aug)
RESULT:Draw 2-2
SCORERS: Daniel Wilkins 1, Christopher Stroud 1
The second match of the Round Robin was a nail-biting affair which ended well for Pacific Hills Dural, but could have easily gone the other way. All Saints Hunters Hill were a well-matched team and took advantage of the gaps in our defence and tendency not to stay in position on the field. Credit is due to our wonderful goal-keepers, Ben Stroud and Preston Steward, as well as our defenders Alexandra Behn, Oliver Korhonen and Abigail Zeckendorf. This was a game that kept everyone moving and Jeremy Bingham, Samuel Benson and Benjamin Mendoza were kept busy chasing the ball up and down the field. Goals were scored by Daniel Wilkins and Christopher Stroud that have kept us in the running for the Final next weekend. The Final will be another chance to meet the Putney Rangers and test our skills against the top team in the division.

Week 14 (18 July)
RESULT: won 1-0
SCORERS: Daniel Wilkins
A good game against a well-matched team. There was plenty of opportunities for both sides but a great goal in the first half by Daniel Wilkins saw us slip ahead. Despite several good challenges by the other side, we managed to hold on and win the match although both teams had several good opportunities to score. Great defence (by the players and occasionally the post) kept the rest of the game scoreless. Player of the week was Oliver Korhonen for his consistent play.

A tough game against a very good opposing team. Down on numbers due to holidays and illness, but supported by two great players from the U7s, Hugh Bingham and Benjamin Walker. Benjamin Walker displayed great persistence and skill. Daniel Wilkins kept up his goalscoring prowess and Benjamin Stroud’s wonderful goalkeeping kept the opposing team from scoring many more times, especially in an exciting 2nd half.

U9/5 vs All Saints Hunters Hill
Week 11 (27 June)
RESULT: win 2-0
SCORERS: Jeremy Bingham, Christopher Stroud
We dominated play in the first half and the ball rarely made it out of their half. A huddle in the first half saw Jeremy sneak in an early goal. Some great mid-field defence ensured that the pressure was kept on although too much bunching up meant that we missed converting some great opportunities. Chris was finally rewarded with a goal in the second half – he had many strikes on goal. The other team perked up a little and we had to rely on Oliver to make a great intercept under pressure to avoid a consolation goal to the them. Player of the Week: Daniel Wilkins for some great twisting and turning runs down the field.
U9/5 vs All Saints Hunters Hill
Week 10 (20 June)
RESULT: win 3-0
SCORERS: Daniel Wilkins, Preston Stewart, Christopher Stroud
Wet conditions kept the ball slow and the players cold. A great start and good domination of play led to Daniel scoring from a great breakthrough pass. Towards the end of the second half, Preston scored from a muddle of players in front of their goal. Chris sealed the result in the second half with a scorcher kick from outside the goal box. He was unlucky not to make it a double when called offside shortly afterwards. Jeremy came out of nowhere to save an almost certain goal in the last minute of the game to keep the other team scoreless.
Player of the Week: Alexandra Behn with some great defence and set ups
U9/5 vs All Saints Hunters Hill
Week 9 (13 June)
RESULT: draw 2-2
A great game against a well-matched team with some amazing play on both sides. The opposition had some really fast strikers who were kept at bay by some great defence from the backs (Abi and Alexandra) and one amazing saved goal by Ben. The attack was well done by Chris and Ben and the midfield stayed strong throughout the game. Some follow up on the goalie when attacking would have given us the game but there is always next week… Player of the week was Jake Ishac
