Week 14 (19/7/08)

The boys put a really great effort today. Magnificent conditions. Everyone played very well. Ari had his usual energy and enthusiasm; Troy was proud to be playing for adoring grandparents to watch; Hugh was displaying a passion for victory, Samuel was exhibiting some fine tactical moves and Benjamin played with his typical vigour and necessary focus on detail. Well done to our little champs!

Week 13 (5/7/08)

It was an exciting match with both teams taking every opportunity to pocket the goals.
Hamish put in a strong defence, strategically saving numerous attempts by the opposing team at the goal front. This combined together with Benjamin’s assistance in sending the ball back the other way essentially kept the score at 1-nil with the opposing leading at half-time. Samuel, Hugh and Ari teamed up with some pretty strong mid-fielding and numerous scoring attempts. When game resumed in the 2nd half, Samuel, Hugh and Ari combination saw Ari scoring the equalizer. Not long after the opposing team scored their 2nd goal, Ari quickly closed the gap by scoring his second goal. The boys continued to put up some great ball play both on the defence line and the attack fronts; putting pressure on the opposing team to step up on their defence. Unfortunately, time soon ran out for the boys to chase a further goal after the opposing team scored their third and final goal.
Nonetheless, it was superb play by the boys all-round in the face of a strong opposing team. You ought to be congratulated!!! Well done, champs!

U6/Red vs WPH Cherrybrook C: W 6-0
Week 12 (28/6/08)
SCORERS: Hugh (5), Samuel (1)
The game kicked-off to a good start despite the PHD U/6 Red team having only 3 players with one kindly on loan from WPH/c during the first half. Right from the start Ari and Hugh displayed superb mid-fielding and proved to be a great combination. A “surprise” quick-through-pass from Ari to Hugh cutting through the defense line in the first 3 minutes gave Hugh the finishing touch to score the first goal. This splendid combination saw 3 more goals bringing the score to 4 - 0 in the first half.
With Zachary making up the 4th player, the boys continued to dominate in the second half. The second half saw 1 further goal from Hugh and 1 from Samuel who did a neat finishing at the goal after taking a pass from Zachary. WELL-PLAYED boys and remarkable team work!!!
The man of the game is Hugh.
U6/Red vs Thornleigh a: W 3-2
Week 10 (14/6/08)
SCORERS: Hugh (1); Samuel (2)
Right from kick-off, THL/a put up a strong attack at the goal front but Pacific Hills had a break when Hugh took the ball and scored a fantastic first goal. Minutes later, Samuel scored the second goal, followed by a third shortly thereafter. Hamish carried the ball several times looking for opportunities to score. Great defence work by Troy and Benjamin who managed several fabulous “saves”. First half ended with Pacific Hills leading 3-1. The second half kicked off at a slower pace, again with THL/a dominating the attack front. Ari put in some great defence with a number of strong hard kicks and Hugh did likewise. Great interception by Samuel on several occasions frustrated THL/a’s attack. THL/a narrowed the margin by scoring a second goal in the second half.
The final tally stood at 3-2 with Pacific Hills in the lead.
Overall, Pacific Hills displayed strong team work and good ball play. Great effort and Well done boys!!!

The Boys had a good game against a strong team today. They are getting more confident and their skills are developing quite well. Troy was player of the match today.

The boys had a good game today. The game was even until the last five minutes when our boys got a bit tired. The boys had lots of shots at goal but were a bit unlucky today.
Hugh was player of the week.
