Week 12 (28/6/08)

A great effort was put in by all the guys with most of the team recovering from sicknesses during the week. Thomas came out firing with 2 break away goals. The rest of the first half had great passing moves and goals from Samuel and Corey. Lots of defense from Ethan, Matt made sure the oppositions score was kept low. Yannis made a couple of breaks down the line during the second half and nearly scored and Zac hit the posts multiple times. An excellent effort all round by the team. Well done guys. Player of the week was Samuel

Week 10 (14/6/08)
SCORERS: Thomas Dickinson (2), Samuel Kirkegard, Zachary Benson (Own Goal)
An excellent effort from all the guys after a few weeks break due to weather. After a chilly start, a defensive clearing miss-kick from Zac scored an own goal. From there the boys worked together, made breaks which made it possible for Thomas to score 2 goals. Samuel made another break and scored in the second half and there was several close shots made by all the boys. The oppositions score was kept down due to great defense efforts and clearing kicks from Ethan, Matt, Yannis and Corey and the rest of the team. Player of the week was Thomas. Well done team

Game 8 (31/5/08)
SCORERS: Zachary Benson (2), Corey Bridgewater, Samuel Kirkegard, Thomas Dickinson, Ethan Wynne
Another great all around game by the boys. The first half was a close game
with only Zac and Corey scoring. The second half our boys just keep on
dominating. Plenty of goals from Samuel, Thomas, Ethan, and Zac keep the
score going up, but it was the defense of Yannis, Matthew and all the team
keep the ball out from their goal. Player of the week was Yannis. Well done
team

Game 7 (24/5/08)
SCORERS: Corey Bridgewater 3, Samuel Kirkegard 2, Thomas Dickinson
Another great game by the boys but we missed Yannis who couldn’t make it.
This week’s competition was tough, but every time one of the opposition
made a break, the boys were there in defense. This week “player of the
week” Corey made 2 great breaks and goals in the first half. Samuel
followed this up with another first half goal. In the second half, the team
work was awesome. There was great defending from Zac and Ethan, dynamo free
kicks and passes from Samuel and Corey with Thomas and Matthew always
running down the ball.

Game 6 (17/5/08)
SCORERS: Matthew Gates, Zachary Benson, Thomas Dickinson (2), Ethan Wynne, Corey Bridgewater (4)
The match started at a very fast pace with Thornleigh scoring in the first 30 seconds. Pacific Hills took a few minutes to recover but Corey came through with a great goal. By the end of the first half the match was 2 all with both sides playing well. Pacific Hills was down one player this week with Samuel being away. The second half saw Pacific Hills come home strong with some great tackling from Zac and many attempts at goal by Ethan. Yannis had a good second half helping to set up a few goals. It was a great game by all the boys despite coach Greg being away sick. A tough decision was made by Adam Bridgewater to award the Player of the Week. In the end Ethan Wynne was awarded the trophy for a great match

Game 5 (10/5/08)
SCORERS: Zachary B (3), Samuel K (3), Thomas D (2), Corey, Ethan
WOW!!! What a fantastic effort put in by all the U6 Green team today. Samuel K came out flying scoring 2 quick goals and was always there in defense. Zac continued the scoring and made some spectacular saves. Corey put one in just before half time. The second half saw goals from Thomas, Sam and Zac with some awesome team play from Yannis and Matt. A late goal from Ethan sealed the win. It was a great team effort today. Thomas received the Best on Field award this week. Well done team.
