It seemed that the boys had decided the season was already over even before they took to the field. But they had a great time socializing and chatting with each other.

Socializing aside, we saw some great efforts put in. Notably by Noah – whose powerful kicking wasn’t too far short of reaching the other end of the field, Bryson did well to finish off the goals when the team managed to set him up and, Nicholas made some fantastic saves while in goal.

Despite losing 7-2, overall, the boys enjoyed themselves.

I would like to thank the team and their supporters for all your efforts this season.

“Player” of the Match was reserved this week for Coach John, for all his efforts over the course of the season.

0-1 loss v West Ryde Rovers B

It was a bit of a slow game today with the one and only goal being scored at the end of the first half. The boys had a good runaround with the ball constantly going from one end to the other.

Congratulations to Zachary for getting Player of the Match. He played a good game in defense and cleared a number of balls from up near our goal. Well done.

3-0 win v Redfield

SCORERS: Jasper McCrindle + 2, Nicholas Roberts + 1

Today’s game was the best we have had all season. The boys were all dribbling and passing well. Our goalies, Tim and Bryson, did a great job and Zachary got some great kicks in today.

Congratulations to Jasper for getting Player of the Match. He positioned himself well, dribbled well, scored two goals and helped set Nicholas up for the third goal. He played an all round great game today. Well done.

1-3 loss v WPH

SCORERS: Thomas Halligan + 1

We were all over the place in the first half of the game today, but the boys picked up in the second half. We had a number of attempts at scoring too, but just couldn’t get them in, except for Thomas’s goal, which was a great team effort.

Our two goalies, Thomas and Jasper did a great job.

Congratulations to Ben for getting Player of the Match. He covered a lot of territory in today’s game and has showed consistent effort in the season so far. Well done!

7-1 win v All Saints Hunters Hill

SCORERS: Bryson Herald + 4, Timothy Maude + 1, Ben Sumskas + 1, Jasper McCrindle + 1

Awesome game today! The boy’s training is really starting to pay off. They all worked well as a team, playing their positions and were able to set up for the goals.

Their passing and hustling were good and we could rely on Noah to kick the ball up our end. Ben scored a fantastic goal by weaving through the opposition and while Bryson scored 4 of our goals, he had a number of other close attempts. Jasper and Tim both scored as well, with the whole team helping to set them up.

Congratulations to Tim for getting Player of the Match. He did a great job as goalie for the first half and then stayed on top of the ball in the second half and scored his first goal for the season.

2-6 loss v Hills Hawks

SCORERS: Zachary Tchetchenian + 2

We had a tough opposition today, resulting in a loss, but the boys played well. Our goalies Noah and Nicholas did a fantastic job, stopping lots of balls.
Once again the boys passing and kicking were good. Tim, Jasper and Bryson were very close in scoring a number of times, but just went a bit wide.
Congratulations to Zachary for getting Player of the Match. He played a great game today and scored his first two goals for the season.

3-0 Win v North Epping Rangers

SCORERS: Nicholas Roberts + 1, Jasper McCrindle + 2

Although we started off a bit slow, all huddled in defense, it turned out to be a great game for the boys. Their passing was very good and it was great to see Nicholas stay with the ball and score his first goal for the season.
Both Bryson and Ben did a great job as goalies, without letting any balls in.
Congratulations to Nicholas for getting Player of the Match. He had an awesome game today, playing his best yet!

3-2 win v Eastwood St Andrews

SCORERS: Bryson Herald + 3

After weeks of no games, it was good to be back out on the field today. The boys certainly enjoyed themselves. Jasper and Thomas did well in goals. The boys in defence all helped to get the ball up the other end, so that Bryson could score 3 goals.

Congratulations to Noah for getting Player of the Match. He was a great help in defence, feeding the ball back up the field to the other players and he did some great kicking.

7-0 Win v Redfield

SCORERS: Bryson Herald + 5, Thomas Halligan + 1, Jasper McCrindle + 1

Great game today. It is nice to finally have a win! All the boys did a wonderful job with their kicking, passing and dribbling today. Their training during the week obviously helped (thanks John!).

Noah and Zachary had some powerful kicks, which were great to get the ball from one end of the field to the other and Ben showed no fear when running in to get the ball. Tim really picked up in the second half, staying with the ball and getting in lots of kicks. Thomas and Bryson both worked well together to set up for goals and score lots and Jasper did an all round great job. It was very amusing watching Nicholas as goalie. He did some awesome saves that should have been captured on video! Both he and Zachary didn’t let any past.

Congratulations to Thomas for getting Player of the Match. He showed great improvement in his game today and kept himself in a great position.
