To make a Grand Final is a special achievement – to win one even better – but for a team who never won a game in 2006 and only scored three goals the entire season – it seemed an impossible dream. The 2007 soccer season was to prove to be a much more successful year for this team. Through determination, teamwork, supportive and skillful coaches and parents on the sideline cheering their team with loud enthusiasm, this team achieved the impossible dream, not only did they make the Grand Final but they won it convincingly with a result of 2-0. The wonderment and thrill on the team’s faces as they ran off the field toward their applauding parents, family and friends will be forever in our memories. An amazing result for an amazing team.
What a fantastic match, everybody put in 110% for our 2-0 win, so much so that our goalkeeper didn’t get a touch of the ball for the entire game.
Standout players where Brandon Stewart(blistering runs from one end to the other), Joel Nasrallah(your not going to get that ball of me!), Joel B and Adam Eldershaw (great goals from our star forward pair). Special thanks goes to Callum Brown for filling in as goal keeper and to all the parents, friends and families for supporting the team on there big game.
