This was the Grand Final. We went into this match as the team favored to succeed, and we did not disappoint the crowd of spectators who came for the match.
Once again this was a hard fought game against a determined opposition who had lost to us before.
In the first half we were able to maintain possession for the majority of the half, piling on three outstanding goals. The number of near misses keeping the opposition goalie busy for the entire half. If the opposition had possession and was making a run, all they had to do was blink and the ball was traveling towards their goal mouth.
In the second half the team came out determined to continue from where they left off putting away another two goals. Macca, our Stopper, registering his first goal for the season!
This team has now been confirmed as AA15 - 2007 Premiers and Champions.

A hard fought game against a determined opposition. We started well claiming the first goal, then dropped our guard. The opposition scored three goals before half time, two from set pieces.
In the second half the team rallied and the Phoenix rose from the ashes to salvage a draw. The second half saw many chances that did not go in. This was a good strong match.

SCORERS: Josh Wengi 1
A hard fought game against a determined opposition. We were marked tightly all match, which was good for a change. During the match we had many opportunities but were unable to score again, many shots on goal going over the bar or just wide.
Players demonstrated excellent ball skills, however misdirected passes ended many runs. This was a tight game to finish the season on, loosing only two competition points in the Premiership.

Game 13 7/7/07
SCORERS: Joshua Wengi 3, Tim Wilson 1, Ben Langford 1
A hard fought game against a good opposition. This was the cleanest game we have had in weeks.
We started the match with ten men for the first 30 mins and scored our first goal. Being short of players the team lifted and continued to look like they were going to score. In the second half we were able to pick up our momentum and put four more goals away. A mistake in the last minute allowed the opposition to get on the score sheet. All the players did exceptionally well demonstrating their superiority in ball skills and coverage of the field.

A hard fought tight game against a good opposition, there were many good runs but continued wayward shots meant that we were unable to finish. A hard fought tight game, there were many good runs but wayward shots meant that were unable to finish. It was a delight in the second half to see the strikers waltz around the defense and score. Our defense was generally solid, however fitness proved again to be an issue.
Regrettably we were down five regular players through injury or other commitments, this meant that we appreciated Morgan Smith, Aaron McGarvey, Nathan Godby and James Merrick subbing for us.
