All Age 15 Grand Finalists

This was the Grand Final. We went into this match as the team favored to succeed, and we did not disappoint the crowd of spectators who came for the match.
Once again this was a hard fought game against a determined opposition who had lost to us before.
In the first half we were able to maintain possession for the majority of the half, piling on three outstanding goals. The number of near misses keeping the opposition goalie busy for the entire half. If the opposition had possession and was making a run, all they had to do was blink and the ball was traveling towards their goal mouth.
In the second half the team came out determined to continue from where they left off putting away another two goals. Macca, our Stopper, registering his first goal for the season!

This team has now been confirmed as AA15 - 2007 Premiers and Champions.

Under 10/8 Grand Finalists
To make a Grand Final is a special achievement – to win one even better – but for a team who never won a game in 2006 and only scored three goals the entire season – it seemed an impossible dream. The 2007 soccer season was to prove to be a much more successful year for this team. Through determination, teamwork, supportive and skillful coaches and parents on the sideline cheering their team with loud enthusiasm, this team achieved the impossible dream, not only did they make the Grand Final but they won it convincingly with a result of 2-0. The wonderment and thrill on the team’s faces as they ran off the field toward their applauding parents, family and friends will be forever in our memories. An amazing result for an amazing team.
What a fantastic match, everybody put in 110% for our 2-0 win, so much so that our goalkeeper didn’t get a touch of the ball for the entire game.
Standout players where Brandon Stewart(blistering runs from one end to the other), Joel Nasrallah(your not going to get that ball of me!), Joel B and Adam Eldershaw (great goals from our star forward pair). Special thanks goes to Callum Brown for filling in as goal keeper and to all the parents, friends and families for supporting the team on there big game.

Fantastic game by the U9/6 team in the Grand Final. It was a disappointing result losing 2:0 to Redfield, but a great end to the season nonetheless.
Unfortunately Redfield were a little quicker to warm up and scored two goals in the first few minutes. After that it was a tough game played by both teams. We had a few close goal opportunities, but their defense was tight.
It was a strong game with great performance by all players; enthusiastic tackles, great defense and strong front line action.

Player of the week awarded to William Wallace.

Congratulations team on a great season and a great result!

Finals Round 2 - 11/8/7

No score, but we could have got it 3-0, one shot on post, one missed point blank, one ruled out due to someone else being offside (would have been my 5th goal of the season too you jerks. Wait til I find out who it was…).

First time (in three meetings) we havent had to carry any injured players off. See how it goes against them next week in the final.

The boys played a good game showing the soccer skills they have learnt throughout the season.
Jeremy scored a great goal and Brendan Badaloff received player of the week for continually getting in there and never giving up.

Game 13 28/7/07
Great game boys! They all played really well with Nicholas receiving player of the week. They almost scored numerous times but the Redbacks goalie was a great goal keeper.

A hard fought game against a determined opposition. We started well claiming the first goal, then dropped our guard. The opposition scored three goals before half time, two from set pieces.
In the second half the team rallied and the Phoenix rose from the ashes to salvage a draw. The second half saw many chances that did not go in. This was a good strong match.
