Game 4 (3/5/08)
SCORERS: Royce & Joel
What a tough match against a predominantly girls team from Pennant Hills! A lot of our time was spent defending and the boys did an excellent job of keeping the goals safe. It was great to see the boys get stuck into the action. Where in the past they may have been slightly careful, this week they threw caution to the wind and played their hearts out. Goals were scored by Royce and Joel – well done to you !! Jacob has an injury to his foot – hope you feel better soon buddy. In the end it was a fantastic game, but Pennant Hills was too strong and we lost by 7 -2. Thank you to all that came along to watch and well done to our boys, we are very proud of the way you tried your best today.

Our boys had a great game this week. The teams were equally strong which made for exciting viewing. Jeremy impressed with his excellent running and scored our first goal. Well done !! Ethan once again covered the back, he saved many goals and did a wonderful job. Matthew was full of energy and was running with the ball and got stuck into attacking. Blake had a great game and his quick footwork impressed us all. Jacob has gained confidence and it was great to see him go in for the ball. Royce was also excellent on the attack and his big kicks helped us get ahead. Aaron played very well, he had excellent determination and he was very quick on his feet. All of the boys played well together and there was excellent passing and teamwork. The match ended in a draw 2-2. Ethan was our player of the day. Well done. Enjoy your week off and see you the last week of the holidays.
U7/Red vs WPH Cherrybrook B: L 0-2
Game 1 (5/4/08)
Our team had a very tough match against the boys of WPH today. During the first half Ethan did an excellent job at the back, keeping the goals out and generally defending from the back. Zac played at the front and was keeping the other team very busy defending their goals. Loads of energy on the field came from Jeremy and Joel with lots of running and attacking. Both had slight injuries and a little bit of time off the field to recover. Matthew kept going for the ball and was very good at constantly trying to get it back. It was another great game from Aaron. He was chasing back and forth, helping Zac to keep the pressure on. During the second half Royce was a star. He played at the back and did an excellent job at keeping our goals safe. Royce was our player of the day ! A spectacular goal from the far side of the field from WPH put them one up. Their goal certainly was something to remember !! In the end they proved to be a little strong and won by 2 goals to zero. Well done to Under 7 red – you played a fantastic game. Sue and I and all of the parents were very proud of you today !
